Your Resume Bullets
• Planned and managed a $6,000 community infrastructure project, recruiting and coordinating 23 volunteers across 4 weekends to complete a fully permitted ADA-accessible trail and observation deck.
• Led a 22-person scout troop as Senior Patrol Leader for 18 months, managing weekly programming, event logistics, and individual scout advancement tracking.
• Earned Eagle Scout rank — achieved by fewer than 5% of all scouts — demonstrating sustained commitment to leadership, community service, and personal excellence from ages 11–17.
Interview Talking Points
• When asked "tell me about a time you led a team": Walk through the project — the problem it solved, how you recruited volunteers, how you handled obstacles, and what the outcome was for the community.
• When asked about Eagle Scout specifically: "Only 5% of scouts earn Eagle rank. It required planning a real community project from concept to completion — including budgeting, permitting, recruiting volunteers, and delivering a result. It's where I learned that leadership means being responsible for an outcome, not just showing up."
• Closing the loop: Connect the credential to the role — "The same discipline it took to earn Eagle Scout is how I approach every project I take on."
